How to store and protect cast iron fixed plates when not in use for a long time?

The core of long-term storage of cast iron fixed plates is "anti deformation and anti rust". Before storage, the surface must be thoroughly cleaned, evenly coated with a layer of rust proof oil or hard film rust inhibitor, and completely wrapped with rust proof paper or neutral plastic film to isolate air and moisture.
The correct support posture is the key to preventing deformation. The fixed plate must be placed steadily according to the support points marked by the manufacturer, and special shims or brackets must be used to ensure that each point is evenly stressed. It is strictly prohibited to only support at both ends or stack randomly. Large platforms must strictly comply with the support requirements to avoid bending caused by their own weight.
The storage environment should be kept dry, ventilated, and temperature stable, with the optimal relative humidity controlled below 50%. Regularly (recommended every six months) check the condition of the rust proof layer, and if it is dry or damaged, it should be promptly reapplied. When stacking, wooden blocks should be used to align and stabilize the support points, and the height should not exceed three layers.
